I loooove sangria. Yes I do. And this homemade version is sure to knock your socks off. Literally. My recipe is adapted from The Pioneer Woman’s recipe. I’m sure she could hang with us.
Ingredients:
- 2 bottles of red wine
- 2 bottles of white wine
- 2 cups of and orange or mandarin vodka
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 – 1 liter of sprite zero or club soda
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 c. grapes
- 2 oranges, sliced
- 2 limes, sliced
- 2 lemons, sliced
Basically, all you do is mix everything together. Add 1/2 the liter of sprite and taste it. It will be a little bit strong, but as it sits, it mellows out a little. If it’s still a little much for you, add some more sprite.
This recipe makes A LOT, so I usually half it if it’s just a few friends coming over. You can cut up more fruit and use as a garnish. If you serve this sangria in a big punch bowl, your party people can use the soaked fruit as a garnish.
I usually serve mine over ice, but it’s whatever you like!
Add some homemade salsa, and you’re everyone’s new best friend!
Sounds delicious!
